حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْأَزْهَرِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُصْبِحُواقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ دَلِيلٌ عَلَى أَنَّ حَدِيثَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَاهٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Yahya] dan [Ahmad Ibnul Azhar] keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdurrazaq] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Ma'mar] dari [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] dari [Abu Nadlrah] dari [Abu Sa'id] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Witirlah sebelum datang waktu subuh. " Muhammad bin Yahya berkata, "Hadits ini menjadi dalil bahwa hadits 'Abdurrahman itu lemah. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
