حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْنُتُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يَدْعُو عَلَى حَيٍّ مِنْ أَحْيَاءِ الْعَرَبِ شَهْرًا ثُمَّ تَرَكَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Nashr bin Ali Al Jahdlami] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yazid bin Zurai'] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam] dari [Qatadah] dari [Anas bin Malik] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melakukan qunut dalam shalat subuh mendo`akan salah satu suku arab selama sebulan, kemudian meninggalkannya. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
