حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَعِيلَ وَإِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ يَقُولُلَقَدْ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَبَوَيْهِ فَقَالَ ارْمِ سَعْدُ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rumh] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Laits bin Sa'd]. Dan menurut jalur yang lain; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam bin 'Ammar] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hatim bin Isma'il] dan [Isma'il bin 'Ayyasy] dari [Yahya bin Sa'id] dari [Sa'id Ibnul Musayyab] ia berkata; Aku mendengar [Sa'd bin Abu Waqqash] berkata; "Pada perang Uhud Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengumpulkan kedua orang tuanya (bersumpah) untukku, beliau bersabda: "Lemparlah wahai Sa'd, ayah dan ibuku sebagai tebusanmu."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
