حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ امْرَأَةً سَوْدَاءَ كَانَتْ تَقُمُّ الْمَسْجِدَ فَفَقَدَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهَا بَعْدَ أَيَّامٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ قَالَ فَهَلَّا آذَنْتُمُونِي فَأَتَى قَبْرَهَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Abdah] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Zaid] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Tsabit] dari [Abu Rafi'] dari [Abu Hurairah] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam merasa kehilangan seorang wanita berkulit hitam yang biasa merawat (kebersihan) masjid, kemudian beliau mencari tahu tentang wanita tersebut setelah beberapa hari. Lalu dikatakan kepada beliau, "Wanita itu telah meninggal, " beliau bersabda: "Kenapa kalian tidak memberitahukan kepadaku! " beliau pun mendatangi kuburannya dan menshalatinya. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
