حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ فَصَفَّنَا خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mu'awiyah bin Hisyam] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Humran bin A'yan] dari [Abu Thufail] dari [Mujammi' bin Jariyah Al Anshari] bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sesungguhnya saudara kalian Najasyi telah meninggal, maka berdiri dan shalatilah ia. " Lalu kami membuat dua shaf di belakang beliau. "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
