حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعُمَيْسِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَخْرَةَ يَذْكُرُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ وَأَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَالَمَّا ثَقُلَ أَبُو مُوسَى أَقْبَلَتْ امْرَأَتُهُ أُمُّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ تَصِيحُ بِرَنَّةٍ فَأَفَاقَ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَوَ مَا عَلِمْتِ أَنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ بَرِئَ مِنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ يُحَدِّثُهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَنَا بَرِيءٌ مِمَّنْ حَلَقَ وَسَلَقَ وَخَرَقَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Utsman Al Audi] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ja'far bin Aun] dari [Abu Al 'Umais] berkata; aku mendengar [Abu Shakhr] menyebutkan dari ['Abdurrahman bin Yazid] dan [Abu Burdah] keduanya berkata; Ketika [Abu Musa] semakin parah sakitnya, isterinya Ummu Abdullah, berbalik berteriak dengan tangisan hingga Abu Musa terbangun. Kemudian ia berkata kepada isterinya, "Tidak tahukah kamu bahwa aku berlepas diri dari sesuatu yang Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berlepas diri darinya! " lalu ia membacakan hadits kepada isterinya, bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Aku berlepas diri dari orang-orang yang menggundul rambut, berteriak-teriak dan menyobek-nyobek (kain). "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
