حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ عِدْلَهُ مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ حِنْطَةٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rumh Al Mishri] berkata, telah memberitakan kepada kami [Al Laits bin Sa'd] dari [Nafi'] dari [Ibnu Umar] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memerintahkan agar zakat fitrah dikeluarkan dengan satu sha' kurma, atau satu sha' biji gandum." Abdullah berkata; "Lalu orang-orang mengeluarkannya dengan perbandingan dua mud tepung gandum."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
