حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ تَكَثُّرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَسْأَلُ جَمْرَ جَهَنَّمَ فَلْيَسْتَقِلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ لِيُكْثِرْ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Fudlail] dari [Umarah Ibnul Qa'qa'] dari [Abu Zur'ah] dari [Abu Hurairah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barangsiapa meminta harta manusia untuk bermegah-megah, sebenarnya ia meminta bara api neraka. Maka silahkan ia cukup dengan yang sedikit atau berbanyak-banyak! "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
