حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ وَغِيَاثُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّحَبِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَائِلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ ابْنِهِ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْلَمَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِسَوِيقٍ وَتَمْرٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Abu Umar Al Adani] dan [Ghiyats bin Ja'far Ar Rahabi] keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Uyainah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Wa`il bin Dawud] dari [Anaknya] dari [Az Zuhri] dari [Anas bin Malik] berkata, "Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mengadakan walimah ketika menikah dengan Shafiah dengan sawiq (makanan yang dibuat khusus untuk acara walimah) dan kurma."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
