حَدَّثَنَا حُبَيْشُ بْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْتَقَ صَفِيَّةَ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا وَتَزَوَّجَهَا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hubaisy bin Mubasysyir] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yunus bin Muhammad] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Zaid] dari [Ayyub] dari [Ikrimah] dari ['Aisyah] berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memerdekakan Shafiah dan menjadikan pembebasannya sebagai mahar, lalu beliau menikahinya."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
