حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحُرُّ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا قَوَدَ إِلَّا بِالسَّيْفِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibrahim bin Al Mustamir], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Hurr bin Malik Al 'Anbari], telah menceritakan kepada kami [Mubarak bin Fadhalah] dari [Al Hasan] dari [Abu Bakrah], ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Tidak ada qishas kecuali dengan pedang."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
