حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا فَقَسَمَهَا عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ ضَحَايَا فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ فَذَكَرَهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِهِ أَنْتَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rumh] telah memberitakan kepada kami [Al Laits bin Sa'd] dari [Yazid bin Abu Habib] dari [Abu Al Khair] dari ['Uqbah bin 'Amir Al Juhani], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memberinya beberapa ekor kambing, lalu beliau membagi-bagikannya kepada para sahabat hingga tidak ada yang tersisa kecuali hanya seekor kambing yang masih muda. Kemudian hal itu diberitahukan kepada Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, maka beliau bersabda: "Berkurbanlah kamu dengan kambing itu."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
