حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ سَلْمَىأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ بَيْتٌ لَا تَمْرَ فِيهِ كَالْبَيْتِ لَا طَعَامَ فِيهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdurrahman bin Ibrahim Ad Dimasyqi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Abu Fudaik] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hisyam bin Sa'd] dari ['Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi'] dari neneknya [Salma], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Rumah yang tidak ada kurma di dalamnya seperti rumah yang di dalamnya tidak ada makanan."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
