حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسِمُ غَنَمًا فِي آذَانِهَا وَرَأَيْتُهُ مُتَّزِرًا بِكِسَاءٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Suwaid bin Sa'id] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Musa bin Al Fadl] dari [Syu'bah] dari [Hisyam bin Zaid] dari [Anas bin Malik] dia berkata, "Saya melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memberi tanda di telinga kambing dan saya melihat beliau mengenakan pakaian sarung."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
