حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّدُوسِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيَنْحَنِي بَعْضُنَا لِبَعْضٍ قَالَ لَا قُلْنَا أَيُعَانِقُ بَعْضُنَا بَعْضًا قَالَ لَا وَلَكِنْ تَصَافَحُوا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ali bin Muhammad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Waki'] dari [Jarir bin Hazim] dari [Hanzhalah bin Abdurrahman As Sadusi] dari [Anas bin Malik] dia berkata, "Kami berkata, "Wahai Rasulullah, apakah sebagian kami harus membungkuk kepada sebagian yang lain?" Beliau menjawab: "Tidak." Kami bertanya lagi, "Apakah sebagian kami boleh memeluk sebagian yang lain?" Beliau menjawab: "Tidak, akan tetapi saling berjabat tanganlah kalian."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
