حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمِصْرِيُّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنَ جَزْءٍ الزَّبِيدِيِّ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْرُجُ نَاسٌ مِنْ الْمَشْرِقِ فَيُوَطِّئُونَ لِلْمَهْدِيِّ يَعْنِي سُلْطَانَهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Harmalah bin Yahya Al Mishri] dan [Ibrahim bin Sa'id Al Jauhari] keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Shalih Abdul Ghafar bin Daud Al Harrani] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Lahi'ah] dari [Abu Zur'ah Amru bin Jabir Al Hadlrami] dari [Abdullah bin Al Harits bin Jaz`I Az Zabidi] dia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sekelompok manusia datang dari arah timur lalu menyerahkan kekuasaannya kepada Al Mahdi."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
