حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَقَ الشَّافِعِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو سَمِعَ كُرَيْبًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُبِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ شَنَّةٍ وُضُوءًا يُقَلِّلُهُ فَقُمْتُ فَصَنَعْتُ كَمَا صَنَعَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Ishaq Asy Syafi'i Ibrahim bin Muhammad bin Al 'Abbas] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari ['Amru] ia mendengar [Kuraib] berkata; aku mendengar [Ibnu 'Abbas] berkata: aku menginap di tempat bibiku Maimunah, lalu Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bangun berwudlu dengan hemat dari air yang ada di geriba. Maka akupun bangun dan melakukan sebagaimana yang beliau lakukan."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
