حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْكُوا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَبْكُوا فَتَبَاكَوْا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Basyir bin Dzakwan Ad Dimasyqi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Walid bin Muslim] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Rafi'] dari [Ibnu Abu Mulaikah] dari [Abdurrahman bin As Saib] dari [Sa'd bin Abu Waqash] dia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Menagislah kalian, jika tidak bisa menangis maka berusalah untuk menangis."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
