حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الْحِيَاضِ الَّتِي بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ تَرِدُهَا السِّبَاعُ وَالْكِلَابُ وَالْحُمُرُ وَعَنْ الطَّهَارَةِ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ لَهَا مَا حَمَلَتْ فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَنَا مَا غَبَرَ طَهُورٌ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Mush'ab Al Madani] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdurrahman bin Zaid bin Aslam] dari [Bapaknya] dari ['Atho` bin Yasar] dari [Abu Sa'id Al Khudri] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ditanya tentang telaga-telaga yang terdapat di antara Makkah dan Madinah yang dikunjungi hewan buas, anjing dan himar, serta hukum bersuci dengannya. Maka beliau pun menjawab: "Baginya apa yang dikandung di dalam perutnya dan bagi kita tidak menghalangi untuk bersuci."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
