حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَقَ الْهَرَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ جُعِلَتْ لِي الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdul Aziz bin Abu Hazim]. Dan menurut jalur yang lain; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Ishaq Al Harawi] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Isma'il bin Ja'far] semuanya dari [Al 'Ala`] dari [Bapaknya] dari [Abu Hurairah], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Bumi dijadikan untukku sebagai masjid dan alat bersuci."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
