حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ الْهَجَرِيِّ عَنْ مَحْدُوجٍ الذُّهْلِيِّ عَنْ جَسْرَةَ قَالَتْ أَخْبَرَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَرْحَةَ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ إِنَّ الْمَسْجِدَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِجُنُبٍ وَلَا لِحَائِضٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] dan [Muhammad bin Yahya] keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Nu'aim] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Abu Ghaniyyah] dari [Abul Khaththab Al Hajari] dari [Mahduj Adz Dzuhli] dari [Jasrah] berkata; [Ummu Salamah] mengabarkan kepadaku, bahwa Rasulullah pernah memasuki halaman masjid ini kemudian berseru dengan suaranya yang sangat keras: "Sesungguhnya masjid tidak halal bagi orang junub dan haidl."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
