حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْمَغْرِبِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَخْرُجْ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ فَخَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا وَأَنْتُمْ لَمْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا انْتَظَرْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَوْلَا الضَّعِيفُ وَالسَّقِيمُ أَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أُؤَخِّرَ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ إِلَى شَطْرِ اللَّيْلِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Imran bin Musa Al Laitsi] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdul Warits bin Sa'id] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Dawud bin Abu Hind] dari [Abu Nadlrah] dari [Abu Sa'id] ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam shalat maghrib bersama kami, kemudian beliau tidak keluar hingga berlalu pertengahan malam, lalu beliau keluar dan shalat bersama mereka. Setelah itu beliau bersabda: "Sesungguhnya orang-orang telah shalat dan tidur, dan kalian akan senantiasa berada dalam hitungan shalat selagi kalian menunggunya. Sekiranya bukan karena orang lemah dan orang sakit, aku menyukai untuk mengakhirkan shalat ini hingga tengah malam."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
