حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ النِّدَاءَ فَقُولُوا كَمَا يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] dan [Abu Kuraib] keduanya berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zaid Ibnul Hubab] dari [Malik bin Anas] dari [Az Zuhri] dari ['Atho` bin Zaid Al Laits] dari [Sa'id Ibnul Musayyab] ia berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Jika kalian mendengar adzan maka ucapkanlah sebagaimana yang diucapkan oleh mu`adzin."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
