حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَمَّرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَرَأَيْتُ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَيُقِيمُ وَاحِدَةً
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Badr 'Abbad bin Al Walid] berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Mu'ammar bin Muhammad bin Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi'] -mantan budak Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam- berkata, telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Muhammad bin Ubaidullah] dari ayahnya [Ubaidullah] dari [Abu Rafi'], ia berkata; "Di sisi Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam aku melihat Bilal mengumandangkan adzan dua-dua, dan iqamah satu-satu."

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
