حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ اتَّخَذْتَ مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى فَنَزَلَتْ{ وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى }
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Ash Shabbah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Husyaim] dari [Humaid Ath Thawil] dari [Anas bin Malik] ia berkata, " [Umar] berkata, "Aku berkata, "Wahai Rasulullah, sekiranya engkau jadikan maqam Ibrahim sebagai tempat shalat, " lalu turunlah ayat; " (Dan jadikanlah sebahagian maqam Ibrahim tempat shalat). "

Imam Ibn Majah compiled the last of the six major hadith collections (Kutub al-Sittah). He travelled widely to collect hadiths — through Iraq, Basra, Syria, Egypt, and Arabia. His collection contains unique narrations not found in the other five collections, though scholars note some weaker chains.
Ibn Majah's collection was later added to the Kutub al-Sittah by Imam al-Maqdisi. It contains approximately 4,341 hadiths including narrations unique to this collection.
