حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ قَالَكُنَّا قُعُودًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَأَذَّنَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ يَمْشِي فَأَتْبَعَهُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ بَصَرَهُ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Al Ahwash] dari [Ibrahim bin Al Muhajir] dari [Abu Sya'tsa'], katanya; "Ketika kami tengah duduk-duudk di masjid bersama [Abu Hurairah], dan ketika seorang muadzin mengumandangkan adzan, seseorang berdiri meninggalkan masjid sambil berjalan. Abu Hurairah terus mengawasinya hingga laki-laki keluar dari amsjid. Abu Hurairah lalu berkata; "Orang ini telah membangkang Abul Qasim shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
