حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَعَرَّسَ بِلَيْلٍ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا عَرَّسَ قُبَيْلَ الصُّبْحِ نَصَبَ ذِرَاعَهُ وَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ عَلَى كَفِّهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sulaiman bin Harb] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Salamah] dari [Humaid] dari [Bakar bin Abdullah] dari [Abdullah bin Rabah] dari [Abu Qatadah] katanya; Jika Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dalam suatu perjalanan lalu singgah di waktu malamnya, maka beliau berbaring dengan bertumpu lambung kanannya, apabila beliau singgah di saat-saat sebelum subuh, maka beliau tegakkan hastanya searah badannya, kemudian beliau letakkan kepalanya diatas telapak tangannya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
