و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا فَمَنْ نَبَّأَكَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ جَالِسًا فَقَدْ كَذَبَ فَقَدْ وَاللَّهِ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَلْفَيْ صَلَاةٍ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abu Khaitsamah] dari [Simak] ia berkata, ia telah memberitakan kepadaku [Jabir bin Samurah] bahwasanya Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berkhutbah sambil berdiri. Kemudian beliau duduk, setelah itu beliau berdiri kembali dan menyampaikan khutbah kedua. Maka barangsiapa yang memberitakan kepadamu bahwa beliau berkhutbah sambil duduk, sesungguhnya ia telah berkata dusta. Demi Allah, saya telah shalat bersama beliau lebih dari duaribu kali."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
