حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَكُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hasan bin Rabi'] dan [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] keduanya berkata, Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abul Ahwash] dari [Simak] dari [Jabir bin Samurah] ia berkata; Saya pernah shalat (Jum'at) bersama Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, lama shalat dan khutbah beliau pertengahan (tidak terlalu panjang atau terlalu pendek).

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
