و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَسْقَى فَأَشَارَ بِظَهْرِ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdu bin Humaid] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Al Hasan bin Musa] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Salamah] dari [Tsabit] dari [Anas bin Malik] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam shalat Istisqa, lalu beliau memberi isyarat ke langit dengan punggung kedua telapak tangannya.

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
