و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ يَعْنِي الْجُعْفِيَّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصُّوا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِقِيَامٍ مِنْ بَيْنِ اللَّيَالِي وَلَا تَخُصُّوا يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ بِصِيَامٍ مِنْ بَيْنِ الْأَيَّامِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي صَوْمٍ يَصُومُهُ أَحَدُكُمْ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Kuraib] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Husain] yakni Al Ju'fani dari [Za`idah] dari [Hisyam] dari [Ibnu Sirin] dari [Abu Hurairah] radliallahu 'anhu, dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, beliau bersabda: "Janganlah kalian mengkhususkan malam Jum'at dengan shalat malam di antara malam-malam yang lain, dan jangan pula dengan puasa, kecuali memang bertepatan dengan hari puasanya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
