حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ إِسْحَقُ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْعَشْرُ أَحْيَا اللَّيْلَ وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ وَجَدَّ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ishaq bin Ibrahim Al Hanzhali] dan [Ibnu Abu Umar] semuanya dari [Ibnu Uyainah] - [Ishaq] berkata- telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Sufyan bin Uyainah] dari [Abu Ya'fur] dari [Muslim bin Shubaih] dari [Masruq] dari [Aisyah] radliallahu 'anha, ia berkata; Ketika Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam memasuki sepuluh terakhir (Ramadlan), maka beliau menghidupkan malam-malamnya (dengan qiyamullail) dan membangunkan keluarganya serta mengencangkan ikatan kainnya (menjauhi isterinya untuk lebih konsentrasi beribadah)."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
