و حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ قَتَادَةَ بْنَ دِعَامَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ الْبَكْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُالَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَلِمُ غَيْرَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ الْيَمَانِيَيْنِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Thahir] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Ibnu Wahb] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Amru bin Harits] bahwa [Qatadah bin Di'amah] telah menceritakan kepadanya bahwa [Abu Thufail Al Bakri] telah menceritakan kepadanya, bahwa ia mendengar [Ibnu Abbas] berkata; "Saya tidak pernah melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam mencium (bagian dari Baitullah) kecuali dua rukun Yamani."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
