حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍأَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَنْحَرُ بَدَنَتَهُ بَارِكَةً فَقَالَ ابْعَثْهَا قِيَامًا مُقَيَّدَةً سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Khalid bin Abdullah] dari [Yunus] dari [Ziyad bin Jubair] bahwasanya; [Ibnu Umar] mendatangi seorang laki-laki yang sedang menyembelih Badanah (hewan kurban berupa Unta atau Sapi) dengan diderumkan, maka ia pun berkata, "Sembelihlah dalam keadaan berdiri dan terikat, itulah sunnah Nabi kalian shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
