حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ الْفَضْلِأَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ عَلَيْهِ فَرِيضَةُ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ وَهُوَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَوِيَ عَلَى ظَهْرِ بَعِيرِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحُجِّي عَنْهُ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Ali bin Khasyram] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Isa] dari [Ibnu Juraij] dari [Ibnu Syihab] Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sulaiman bin Yasar] dari [Ibnu Abbas] dari [Al Fadll] bahwasanya; Seorang wanita dari Khats'am berkata, "Wahai Rasulullah, sesungguhnya bapakku adalah seorang yang sudah tua renta, ia masih memiliki kewajiban haji, sementara ia tidak mampu lagi menunggang di atas Untaranya." Maka Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pun bersabda: "Kalau begitu, hajikanlah ia."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
