حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ النَّذْرُ لَا يُقَدِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُؤَخِّرُهُ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنْ الْبَخِيلِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami Muhammad bin Yahya telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yazid bin Abu Hakim] dari [Sufyan] dari [Abdullah bin Dinar] dari [Ibnu Umar] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau bersabda: "Nadzar itu tidak dapat mempercepat datangnya sesuatu dan tidak pula melambatkannya, hanyasanya ia untuk mengeluarkan sesuatu dari orang bakhil."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
