و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُبَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَيْفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَخْبَرَنِي قَيْسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى بِيَمِينٍ وَشَاهِدٍ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] dan [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numair] dia berkata; telah menceritakan kepada kami [Zaid] -yaitu Ibnu Hubab- telah menceritakan kepadaku [Saif bin Sulaiman] telah mengabarkan kepadaku [Qais bin Sa'd] dari [Amru bin Dinar] dari [Ibnu Abbas], bahwa Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menetapkan perkara dengan sumpah dan saksi."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
