و حَدَّثَنِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَ وَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَى نَصْرِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الشَّجَرَةِ قَالَ فَنَسُوهَا مِنْ الْعَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Muhammad bin Rafi'] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Ahmad] dia berkata; dan saya telah membacanya di hadapan [Nashr bin Ali]; dari [Abu Ahmad] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sufyan] dari [Thariq bin Abdurrahman] dari [Sa'id bin Musayyab] dari [ayahnya], bahwa para sahabat berada di sisi Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ketika peristiwa pembaiatan di bawah pohon." Dia berkata, "Ternyata pohon tersebut sudah tidak ada ketika ditahun depannya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
