و حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي عَيَّاشُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْقِتْبَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْقَتْلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ يُكَفِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الدَّيْنَ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Zuhair bin harb] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdullah bin Yazid Al Muqri`i] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sa'id bin Abu Ayyub] telah menceritakan kepadaku ['Ayyasy bin Abbas Al Qitbani] dari [Abu Abdurrahman Al Hubuli] dari [Abdullah bin 'Amru bin 'Ash], bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Syahid di jalan Allah akan melebur setiap dosa kecuali hutang."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
