و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بِشْرٍ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَقَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ{ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ }كَلَّمَهُ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَنَزَلَتْ{ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ }
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Kuraib] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ibnu Bisyr] dari [Mis'ar] telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Ishaq] dari [Al Barra] dia berkata, "Tatkala turunnya ayat: '(Tidaklah sama antara mukmin yang duduk (yang tidak ikut berperang) …' (Qs. An Nisaa: 95), lalu Ibnu Ummi Maktum protes, maka setelah itu turunlah: '(yang tidak mempunyai 'uzur)."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
