حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا لَمْ يَغْسِلْ عَقِبَيْهِ فَقَالَ وَيْلٌ لِلْأَعْقَابِ مِنْ النَّارِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abdurrahman bin Sallam al-Jumahi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [ar-Rabi'] -yaitu bin Muslim- dari [Muhammad] -yaitu Ibnu Ziyad- dari [Abu Hurairah] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam melihat seorang laki-laki belum mencuci kedua tumitnya, maka beliau bersabda: "Celakalah tumit-tumit (yang tidak terbasuh air wudlu) dengan api neraka."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
