و حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعَ عَمْرٌو جَابِرًايَقُولُ فِي جَيْشِ الْخَبَطِ إِنَّ رَجُلًا نَحَرَ ثَلَاثَ جَزَائِرَ ثُمَّ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ نَهَاهُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Abdul Jabar bin Al 'Ala] telah mencerikan kepada kami [Sufyan] dia berkata; ['Amru] pernah mendengar [Jabir] berkata tentang Jaisul Khabath, "Seorang laki-laki menyembelih tiga ekor unta kemudian menyembelih tiga unta lagi, setelah itu Abu 'Ubaidah melarangnya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
