حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الضَّحَايَا بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ كُلُوا وَتَزَوَّدُوا وَادَّخِرُوا
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] dia berkata; saya bacakan di hadapan [Malik]; dari [Abu Az Zubair] dari [Jabir] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau melarang makan daging kurban setelah tiga hari, kemudian beliau bersabda: "Makan dan simpanlah sebagai perbekalan kalian."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
