حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ غَيْلَانَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ جَرِيرٍ الْمَعْوَلِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَطَرَفُ السِّوَاكِ عَلَى لِسَانِهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Habib al-Haritsi] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hammad bin Zaid] dari [Ghailan] -yaitu Ibnu Jarir al-Ma'wali- dari [Abu Burdah] dari [Abu Musa] dia berkata, "Saat aku mengunjungi Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, ujung siwak berada di lisannya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
