و حَدَّثَنِي بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَرُمِيَ أُبَيٌّ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ عَلَى أَكْحَلِهِ فَكَوَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepadaku [Bisyr bin Khalid]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad] yaitu Ibnu Ja'far dari [Syu'bah] dia berkata; Aku mendengar [Sulaiman] berkata; Aku mendengar [Abu Sufyan] berkata; Aku mendengar [Jabir bin Abdullah] berkata; "Ubay kena panah pada urat nadinya dalam perang Ahzab. Lalu Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menyundut lukanya dengan besi panas."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
