و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ ح و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍعَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى أَنْ يُبَالَ فِي الْمَاءِ الرَّاكِدِ
English Translation
Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] dan [Muhammad bin Rumh] keduanya berkata, telah mengabarkan kepada kami [al-Laits]. (dalam riwayat lain disebutkan) Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Qutaibah] telah menceritakan kepada kami [al-Laits] dari [Abu az-Zubair] dari [Jabir] dari Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, bahwa beliau melarang kencing pada air yang menggenang."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
