حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْحَلَّاقُ يَحْلِقُهُ وَأَطَافَ بِهِ أَصْحَابُهُ فَمَا يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَقَعَ شَعْرَةٌ إِلَّا فِي يَدِ رَجُلٍ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Rafi']; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu An Nadhr]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Sulaiman] dari [Tsabit] dari [Anas] dia berkata; "Sungguh saya pernah melihat Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam sedang dicukur oleh seorang tukang cukur dengan dikerumuni oleh para sahabat beliau. Sebenarnya yang mereka inginkan adalah agar setiap helai rambut beliau yang tercukur itu jatuh ke tangan seorang sahabat yang mengerumuninya."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
