حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ قَالَ قِيلَ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍبَلَغَكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ أَنَسٌ قَدْ حَالَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ قُرَيْشٍ وَالْأَنْصَارِ فِي دَارِهِ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepadaku [Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ash Shabah]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Hafsh bin Ghiyats]; Telah menceritakan kepada kami ['Ashim Al Ahwal] dia berkata; "Seseorang pernah bertanya kepada [Anas bin Malik]; 'Apakah kamu pernah mendengar Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: 'Tidak ada perjanjian persahabatan (persekutuan dalam Islam)?.' Anas menjawab; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pernah mengadakan perjanjian persahabatan antara muslimin Quraisyy dengan kaum muslimin Anshar di rumah beliau."

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
