حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْمَعِيلَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُاقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ حُرِمَ الرِّفْقَ حُرِمَ الْخَيْرَ أَوْ مَنْ يُحْرَمْ الرِّفْقَ يُحْرَمْ الْخَيْرَ
English Translation
Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya]; Telah mengabarkan kepada kami ['Abdul Wahid bin Ziyad] dari [Muhammad bin Abu Isma'il] dari ['Abdur Rahman bin Hilal] dia berkata; Aku mendengar [Jarir bin 'Abdullah] berkata; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: 'Barang siapa dijauhkan dari sifat lemah lembut (kasih sayang), berarti ia dijauhkan dari kebaikan.'"

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
