و حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ أَطْفَالِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَالَ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ إِذْ خَلَقَهُمْ
English Translation
dan telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Yahya] telah mengabarkan kepada kami [Abu 'Awanah] dari [Abu Bisyr] dari [Sa'id bin Jubair] dari [Ibnu 'Abbas] dia berkata; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam pernah ditanya tentang nasib anak-anak kaum musyrik yang meninggal dunia sebelum usia baligh. Kemudian Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam menjawab: 'Allah lah Yang Maha tahu tentang apa yang mereka kerjakan semenjak Allah menciptakannya.'"

Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj was a student of Imam al-Bukhari. He compiled Sahih Muslim selecting from approximately 300,000 hadiths, arranging his collection thematically and grouping all chains of each hadith together — making it uniquely easy to study the complete transmission history of a single narration.
Sahih Muslim took 15 years to complete. Its unique arrangement — all isnads for one hadith in one place — remains unmatched in the hadith literature.
